Government funding available to finance fitness courses with Amac

24+ Learning Loans are a convenient way to finance your fitness course. The government made this funding available to enable adults to access further education and training. The word ‘loan’ can sometimes put people off finding out more about this funding option. What many don’t realise is, until you earn over £21,000 per year, the loan does not need repaying. Repayments are then based on your salary, not what you borrowed. 24+ Advanced Learning Loan eligibility does not depend on your previous credit history and is far better than any finance credit scheme offered by other fitness training providers.

Application Process

You just need to book onto your chosen course with Amac as usual. Amac then send you the necessary information to apply for the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan and access the funding.

Eligibility Criteria

To make use of the funding available you must be taking an eligible course and studying with Amac.
You must be over 24 years of age and be living in England at the start of your course.
You must be living in England on the first day of your course and have lived in the EU, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for 3 years prior to this.
Your credit history is not taken into consideration when you apply for the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

Repayments

You do not need to start making loan repayments until 2016 and they are based on monthly income, not the loan amount. On a salary of £21,000 that would be approximately £7.50 per month. Until you earn over £21, 000 per year you will not have to repay your student loan. It is possible to make voluntary repayments and pay off your loan at any time without incurring a penalty.
