We’re a friendly family-run company with a background in the education sector and expertise working in the fitness industry. Amac’s co-founder, Dave Lee, produces all our learning resources in-house which means content is continuously adapted to meet the changing needs of students and employers.
The Amac Team are passionate about providing the best standard of fitness training alongside exceptional customer service. Amac’s tutors remain unrivalled by any other fitness training provider, working together to share best practice and consistently exceeding the expectations of our students.
‘Directors have an ambitious vision for creating excellence in the training they offer and the learners they teach.’

Amac also have a partnership with Education & Skills Funding Agency enabling us to offer Advanced Learner Loans to students. We offer a variety of payment options to help make fitness qualifications more affordable too.
Alongside qualifications in Gym Instructing and Personal Training we run our exclusive PROfusion Range of short-courses which are endorsed by Active IQ and CIMSPA and recognised by employers. These are a great way for L2 Fitness Instructors to upskill and lead group exercise classes and for L3 Personal Trainers to incorporate varied training methods into their training programmes.

Amac stands for ‘Associated Martial Arts Consultants’ and was founded by Dave and Liz in 2000 following their dissatisfaction with coaching resources for the martial arts industry.
Although martial arts was the original focus of their business, Amac soon teamed up with Pro Active Health to produce circuit cards to help all instructors add variety to their circuit classes.
It’s been over seventeen years since, Amac gained it’s first awarding organisation approval to provide Ofqual accredited training courses. Over the years, thousands of people have benefited from the many courses and programmes that have encouraged progression into further education and employment.
Amac have worked with public and private leisure providers, schools, colleges, local councils, NHS, police, and charities. Over the years, Amac has provided a wide range of provision including NVQs, Entry to Employment programmes, apprenticeships and various government funded projects.
Dave continues to develop content and courses along with teaching a range of Amac courses. He has also remained focussed in his academic research at Canterbury Christ Church University investigating his particular interest in critical and dialogic pedagogies. Other research interests include critical thinking/reflection/reflexivity and metacognition. Liz now oversees Amac’s business strategy, operation and development.
