High intensity training has gained a phenomenal amount of press coverage this week. Firstly, Dame Helen Mirren announced her devotion to a 1950’s Royal Canadian Air Force Exercise Plan. This exercise routine was designed to help RAF pilots improve their fitness without the use of gym facilities- read more here. Secondly, publication of research carried out by the University of Dundee has also highlighted the potential benefits of HIT for older people.
