Amac update regarding Covid-19

following the Government announcement yesterday, Amac will stop running face-to-face courses in line with Government instruction. It is impossible to give a specific timescale due to the ever changing situation but we will endeavour to resume face-to-face as soon as it is safe to do so. All online courses are continuing as normal.

I am fully aware that many students have booked assessments, exams, courses and revision days and we fully understand you may have concerns regarding your progress. We have contingency plans to ensure where possible the continuity of your studies and assessments. Please do not worry about your end dates as we have been authorised to provide extensions. Depending on what you are scheduled to do, the arrangements may include:

  • Taking theory exams at home via ProctorU
  • Pre-recorded revision sessions by Dave
  • Delay your course/exam to a later date
  • Alternatives for several Profusion courses that will be available online
  • Videoed practical assessments (subject to equipment/facilities/appropriate participant/s)
  • Continued remote support as required via email/phone/skype

Those that have been booked in to attend a face-to-face date will be contacted individually with suggestions on how to complete your studies.

We have decided to close the Amac office to visitors from tomorrow. Office staff will be working a combination of both remote and office-based, so your call may be answered, if not, email us on

We continue to follow government and NHS advice, and urge everyone to familiarise themselves with this advice and to stay up-to-date with the situation as it develops.

Public Health England:
Please stay safe and look after one another. My very best wishes to each and every one of you.
